The ice with its wavy shapes embraces a bed of dead oak leaves underwater... Winter triumphs over Autumn.

I really like the simple presentation. Interesting contrast here but I do not feel that these muddy brown leaves are a good focal point. My eye seems to move along the edges, following the flowing lines of the thin ice. Maybe you could use the ice as a border for a more charismatic winter scene.
