Croc Smile

On our adventures through Chiapas we enjoyed the Sumidero Canyon.

We saw several crocs basking in the sun on the waters edge but this

one was perfect. He was still wet from a recent swim. Thank you for

A fine shot, good portraiture. I can not decide whether your subject is smiling or grinning, but it certainly has such a benevolent look in it's eye! I hope you were not too close to it.

Smile or grin - he looked quite pleased with himself. I was quite close to him but thankfully in a large boat. Thank you all for your kind comments and ratings.

Of course he was smiling.. he's doing a commercial for one of those teeth whitening products!

The detail you captured on the croc's skin is lovely. Did you use a shallow depth of field or edit the image to make the background blurry?

Thank you very much. Sadly I had to edit the photo after. I wish I had set up for a shallow DOF for the actual shot but.. live and learn
