GailAnthonyHarmer 5 Posted January 28, 2009 I watched a program the other day..very sad..a man who looks forward to the amazing yearly migration of these beautiful butterflies, spoke through his tears as he explained that this is another species facing endangerment due to the illegal stripping of the trees essential for the Monarchs, for it is where they return to mate. Man's cruelty to this beautiful planet is beyond my comphrension....yet, all cruelty in any form is.... Link to comment
richard_cox2 0 Posted January 28, 2009 Man has caused more damage with DDT, deforestation, overhunting and ozone destruction than nature will ever do. But let's enjoy the beauty this world has to offer. Great shot. Link to comment

GailAnthonyHarmer 5 Posted January 28, 2009 Thank you all so much, and especially you Greg, although you live merely yards away.....there were times B4 - PN....when I had run out of excuses for not joining(although some quite justified)...but its has always been your 'well planned' urging that made me venture towards the 'edge of the cliff' and jump. (It was at that point that I feared you'd soon 'tromp over in your 'crocks' and PUSH me off!) To save you the trip, I had finally believed I would either land 'safely' or 'learn to fly'....seems I'm beginning to believe I can do both if I persevere. And to you Jeffrey.....while I hibernate during our BLIZZARD....I have yet to find my tickets to your "Sunny Florida".....(yust yoking!). From my first postings you have been there, encouraging me on a 'constant level'; and no matter how busy, you take the time to ENCOURAGE me and 'put a little more wind in my sails' when I have been a bit 'adrift'. You're not just a 'rater...out of necessity'....I know you're in 'my corner'....and who doesn't need that assurance these days My sincerest thanks to you both. Link to comment
