Sad looking Horse

One of many taken late in the afternoon of this horse, but the only

one that stood out for me. Some people think he should be looking into

the frame, but I like the idea of him/her looking out ,theirs a

certain sadness about it.

I don't think you do need to have the horse looking at you, this is more documentary than portrait. It must be a hardy beast to go without a rug, or perhaps that's why it's looking a bit whistful.

Welcome to PN, Joe. I really like this shot. It has great mood and emotion. The subdued light is really pleasing. I would liked to have seen the horse on the left of the shot looking into the shot in stead of the horse looking out of the picture. Just my opinion. Otherwise. great work, my friend. Hi Lawrence, Ya I have been told this before, and I agree to a certain extent, but I think also, it adds to the mood of the shot (breaking the rules) that he's looking out.
