Beautiful color and light. The only thing I would not like is the temperature.... but we will not have this beautiful image then ;-) Regards, Jean-Marc

Thanks, Jean-Marc! I had to quickly get out of my car, get the shot and get back into the warm car. Still, my hands were freezing!

Have a good day!

There is nothing like first light, and never so good as in winter. One always take a chance, getting up and dressed and out before there's any way to know what they'll will find, always the chance it will not have proven worth the sacrifice. Then, one way or another, it always is.

That's certainly the case here.

Good morning, Tim! Nice to hear from you! I always think about your "Lonely House with Moon" when I'm out in the freezing cold. It is definitely worth it. This morning there are some wonderful clouds in a pink sky to the east, but I'm at work. I'll see what tomorrow brings.

Have a very good day!

Thank you, Kathy! It is very true...get out before the sunrise and see what first light does to your surroundings. Then, an hour before sunset and while the sun disappears below the horizon, go out again...it's worth it, and it changes everything.

Best regards,

Dick

Thank you very much, Hamish! Yes, winter provides some wonderful scenery. You seem to be braver than I am, camping in the snow! But I'm sure it provides you with some interesting photo opportunities.

Have a good day!

Oh I'm not that brave! I have bought equipment that will (according to the makers) keep me warm in temperatures as low as -50 degrees C. So really I'm no braver than anyone else! I just love being outdoors! And the 6 winter months we have here in Norway are by far my favorite! They do indeed provide some fantastic opportunities.
