Landrum Kelly 64 Posted January 27, 2009 Thank you, Afshin. This was shot in the summer of 1977 when Anne was approximately eighteen months old. It was shot with a Miranda auto exposure (and shutter priority) camera with a 50mm f/1.4 lens, my first SLR system (which I had picked up for $100 second hand while a grad student at the University of Florida). The camera would be stolen in WV in late 1981, and in early 1982 I bought a Canon AE-1 with a 50mm f/1.8 lens, which was my only camera until I bought an Olympus E-20 digital camera in late January, 2002, about seven years ago. I have shot over 90% digital ever since. --Lannie Link to comment
deb1 0 Posted February 12, 2010 There is something very special about this image... I find myself returning to view it time and time again. There is a sweetness to Anne's little arm around her Mother's neck and there is tenderness in her Mother's hand upon her back. It's very touching on so many levels. Thank you for sharing this intimate moment of your family's life. deb Link to comment
Landrum Kelly 64 Posted July 7, 2015 Betty died six months ago, January 7, 2015 in Greenville, SC. She battled breast cancer for almost twenty-four years before finally succumbing. I had seen the sky a brilliant red as I entered my doctor's office for a four-thirty appointment. I found out later (the next day, in fact) that she had died about that very time. --Lannie Link to comment
