Great blue tit with a superb background. If the other bird wasn't there I think it would work better for me. Is it a Chaffinch? Fantastically sharp against lovely green background.

Thanks for your comments. I seem to remember it being a sparrow not a chaffinch. It was just an interesting concept when I looked through the viewfinder and because of shallow DOF I could only see a silhouette of the sparrow - thus the caption!

I have just come across a clearer picture of the bird in the 'shadow' here. I can now see that you were absolutely right, it is a female chaffinch.
