Hi Peter, thanks for the comment.

I will show the colour one soon, I really couldn't make my mind up which one I liked best, I went for this one just because I don't have many B&W's in my PF.

Looking forward to seeing it. Do not get me wrong, this looks very well, too. The silver look of the shining structures is special and cannot be appreciated as much in the color version. So indeed, the choice must be tough...

Simon.... Magical, that you could take this industrial / structural jigsaw and make a thing of beauty... well done! Excellent vision to see the potential and a poet to create the title... Mike

Really, truly amazing work. For 25 previous years of shooting, I could only appreciate pristine scenics. I have been reinventing my photography interests lately, concentrating a large amount of time with Industry shots. This one is right down my wheelhouse Simon. I am astounded by your photographic prowess!

Simon - Wonderful range of tones. Reminds me of wind tunnel images to check aerodynamics of cars or bike racers. I have some industrial images in mind near where I live, and you have inspired me to try them out. Thanks!

I'm always amazed by the high quality of every shot of yours. Here you transformed a ugly industrial plant in art: the choice of B&W is perfect.

Just a question: from the small size of the photo it seems that the lights are a bit overexposed... What do you think?

Kind regards, Alberto.

Thanks for the comments everyone.

Hi Alberto, I feel I got the lights just about right. When you see this place after dark

it gives you the impression of being a magical palace of light. It is very white and very bright, I wanted the image to convey something of that overwhelming sparkling brightness.

Superb nightime shot with wonderful exposure to capture the light as you have done. I like the f/g dark areas which helps to emphasise the the brightness of the lights.

Hi Simon, it looks celestial indeed. I like the treatment. And the smoke coming from the chimneys at slow shutter speed look like a painting.

Great composition and I like the b/w rendering.

Cheers!
