Autumn comes early to the many marshes in the state, which is a great thing as it lengths the photo opportunities before many of the other tree have turned color.

Early fall colors decorate a marsh at Pawtuckawy State park. I was

tempted to use a vertical crop of the right portion of the image, but

ultimatele found the left side too compelling to ignore, and felt the

diagonal tree in the water helped tie the two sides together. Your

impressions welcome.

Harry,I’m glad you elected not to crop, I like the composition.  The log provides diagonal continuity while the green (cattails?) pulls the eye the thin band of yellow on the far side of the marsh tying the two reds together.  Great shot.Gordon
