Great concept, wonderful tonality and color. Just the correct contrast. What does bother me is that you have placed the human figure dead center, which kind of divides the whole into two separate images. Grade A on everything but composition.

You say about composition. The boy and horse are together and rope is interlinked with these friends. My idea is the horse and boy is one unit. And they are in the composition as rule of third. There is not image divided by two. Because the shadows of horse and boy are in the right area and the shadows are the hot key for this image. These shadows are the part of horse and boy.

I like this photo very, very much as I like almost all your photos and particularly

those related to this sporting activity that demonstrate one more time, the strong relationships between men and horses. I like the dark sky with those glimpse of orange in contrast with the hills brownish chromatism.
