pentax645 0 Posted January 21, 2009 It's a nice shot to capture an interesting moment in a train station! Link to comment
itdm5j21 0 Posted January 21, 2009 I really like this: atmosphere in spades, positioning of the three people is just of the right moment. The sweep of the tracks from bottom left into the picture and then obscured by the guy closest to us is superb. I'm not sure if this was a grab shot, or something you patiently waited on, however, whichever, it was worth it. Finally my only reservations are:- I would crop the top to the second gantry - to make the image slightly more rectangular and emphasise the guys; and - maybe - burn in the sky and corners a touch. chrisvest 1 Posted January 22, 2009 great gritty urban scene-- we can almost taste the coal dust-- and it has that fleeting "still life with dashing figure" quality we so admire in many of the apparently casual cartier-bresson images. ian's commentary is spot on as well, and he deserves a nod for the ever-more rarified genuine critique, both well considered and well articulated. cheers and bravo to you both. vetterhome1 0 Posted January 24, 2009 Great shot at the right time:always we are moving in other directions:our society: the result of an chaotic movement ot each individual. BR Joerg Link to comment
laurent_jaussi 0 Posted January 27, 2009 I like the composition...the mist contributes both to the mood and visually to clean the picture by offerting a vanishing and neutral background...the distribution of the people and then trains on both side are wonderful... Link to comment
