jerrymat 3 Posted January 20, 2009 I know that many photographers feel that a black frame is the proper way to display a color photograph. I do not agree and I am making a feeble attempt to change opinion. Here, since the black is deeper, darker and richer than any dark in the image it surrounds, it distorts the tones of the photograph. Just as an experiment you might try to change the frame to a matching gray of the darkest rock and the white inner frame to one of the orange-browns of the sunlit rocks. See if it does not make the picture jump out at you. Link to comment
