The dress code is very sweetly named "photo mode" by the model.. it is destined to remove all signs of underwear on the body ..

There she is...putting away the dishes from lunch, or is it dinner? One may not be so sure. It seems like only a moment ago. At least, that is how I might interpret. Great setting. I would be tempted to crop the right side of the image beginning at the refrigerator/ kitchen entry due to the non-essential/ cluttered nature of that side. I recognize the shoes and ....!

Just perusing the additions to this series while waiting for the U.S. presidential inaugaration to begin. I completely understand about this backstage material and your making test shots prior to the actual shoot. I do it all the time as well. I always instruct my students to prepare their equipment as much as possible before the shooting starts so they can take advantage of the upcoming photo moments and opportunities instead of fooling with their camera settings. Great minds think alike! With regard to the underwear marks, . . . I just assumed that your models showed up like this. Ha! I would assume also that during these test moments your model gains a certain level of comfort within the space she is occupying, therefore permitting her to transition into the mood of the shoot better. No wonder they all exhibit such confidence. This series is great! Thanks for taking the time to share these.

Thanks Steve. I guess we play it differently every time .. this particular model, adorable as they come, was young, we didn't know each other before as you correctly imply .. we spent almost four days together getting to know each other taking photos ... I would just underline however for those that do not know that this process begins well before that day. We had exchanged views and photos for ages before meeting up, in a sense, we knew each other well and the confidence and trust were already well built in.

Breakfast before the shoot .. Thanks Steve, you are quite right of course .. but this is totally unedited stuff, backstage work taken while waking myself .. just to capture the moment .... and to test the lighting actually in this case ...
