rarmstrong 0 Posted January 20, 2009 Ross, I really like this shot! I saw some unharvested corn on my drive to Toledo over the holidays and wondered how I could get some shots, but I didn't have time. I like the soft blue of the sky, yellow corn and texture against the pure white snow. Very nice! Have a good night! Dick Link to comment

rarmstrong 0 Posted January 20, 2009 Yes, tomorrow will be quite a day! We certainly have enough issues to keep our new President and his team busy! I'd be happy to keep warm relationships with our good friends to the north! But, the other directions are equally important! Sleep well! Dick Link to comment
chrisvest 1 Posted January 20, 2009 amazing shot; really fun to linger upon. it's like an advancing golden red army, banners and lances high, shields forward. the slight bow in the middle and lightly dappled sky contribute as well. bravo. Link to comment

JimCowan 0 Posted January 21, 2009 I really like this, the simplicity of colour and the composition make this outstanding. I think field corn is a fascinating subject, but I have yet to produce a photo like this. Link to comment
lonebearimages 0 Posted January 22, 2009 One-o-your best! Abstract, minimalistic, and very surrealistic! Terrific photograph and some 'wowza' color contrasts! Nice work, my friend! Cheers! Chris Link to comment

naturegirl99 0 Posted January 23, 2009 Hi Ross--I love the concept of this image. Three layers, all terrific together. Love the look of cornstalks in the snow. I hate to nitpick, but I think it's a bit oversharpened...at least there seems to be quite a bit of noise in the sky and when I enlarge the image, there's definitely some artifact. But I still love it.Cheers, Nancy Link to comment
ryourth 0 Posted January 25, 2009 Nancy, thank for visiting & your comments, always appreciated.Yes, you are right about the noise, when I focus these older eyes I can see it without going big, which I never do anyway, try to do as good as I can for the normal viewing size. Cheers-Ross Link to comment
