Subtle Palouse Patterns

When you rise above the scene it's quite beautiful how smooth and

fluid the hills become.

Ryan, with all the snow that Spokane has received, I've wondered how the Palouse area would look. Is it possible to get a higher vantage point (e.g., Steptoe Butte) in these conditions that would cast a stronger sidelight or at least show a broader range of shadow and light?

With this amount of snow you have to hike up Steptoe. It's very difficult getting around when there is this much snow. Maybe next year I'll get a shot from the side or higher on Steptoe. Ry
