Like the juxtaposition of the dark toned barn & the white roof. framed by the slender birches.The bright patch of snow in the foreground draws the eye directly to the barn. By the look of the sky it is going to be a cold night..Cheers-Ross

nice image Leslie. seems so serene there and cold:) although I like your level of cropping I think you could have allowed for more space in the foreground to establish a greater mood setting. the background glow of the sky is a nice touch too

I did crop on this one. I try hard not to crop, the uncropped has more foreground. I had not planned to shoot this barn at all I was shooting the mountains and turned around and the sun through the birches were calling to my camera! :) I will post the uncropped version you will have to give me your opinion on preference.
