Guest Guest Posted January 17, 2009 It's about more than light--you contrast that wonderful cloudscape with the more prosaic structures of the marina. All the triangles of the boats' masts and stays are repeated in the foreground in the gangplank and the gate structure on the dock, which gives your picture depth. It's also a nice leadin and an excellent counterpoint to the classic curve of the buildings into the distance. Well done! Link to comment

pietje 0 Posted January 18, 2009 WOW MELL, this is realy wonderfull. The dark parts are just dark enough, the bright parts just bright enough. So nice play between both, interacting on theyr midtones, and so doing blending it as a whole in balance. What a wonderfull atmosphere you rendered here! Just all the time wondering where all these coastphoto's are taken? Leon is not at the coast I remember from my geography lessons in school .... long long ago Keep up amazing us Piet PS : this time it's your fault I can't rate the score I intended to ....
