tgood 0 Posted January 14, 2009 Spectacular shot. I don't envy you at all though. I get cold enough where I'm at, and it never gets cold enough to stop a waterfall in its tracks. So I will just enjoy the veiw from here... thanks to your slugging it out in the cold. I like the color saturation BTW. Link to comment
ldavidson 4 Posted January 14, 2009 Thank you so much! It's good to hear from you. It was cold and snowy the day I took this, but not so cold as to stop a waterfall in it's tracks. I think it was around -20 Celcius. This ice formation was 'created' slowly a little dribble at a time. They really are turquoise green, there is a mineral in our water that turns the water this colour. Our lakes and rivers here in Western Canada are the same beautiful colour. I increased the saturation slightly, to bring it out. There was some yellow in there that I decreased, no one likes yellow snow or ice! All the best. Link to comment
