Really nice light, the trees are well placed in the composition and the shadows and tracks in the foreground help balance out the photograph. Very nice Dick! How's your temperatures up there? We're approaching wind chill values in the minus teens the next few days, yahoo!

Thank you, Tim and Jean-Marc! This is our local golf course. The sun was low in the southwest and there were snow clouds building to the north. It's frigid here...8 below currently. I'm happy to be inside and will be spending time with Thom Hogan's book about my camera...774 pages!

Have a good day!

Lovely capture Dick,Like how the lines of the trees & the small ridges at the bottom right run parallel with each other & this frames the nice range of tones in the middle. Do I seee just a tiny tinge of red which adds a little warmth to the image or do I need new glasses? 60 miles from the Soo, considering the size of our countries you could say & what is that old saying, "we're in spittin distance from each other".Warm Regards-Ross

Thanks, Ross! The low sun gave a pinkish red cast to the sky and the light on the snow. I noticed it as I was driving by and pulled over to take this shot. We are pretty close to each other. I have driven the route north of Superior to Toronto though, and it's a little farther than I can spit:-)

Have a good day!
