jmarcraveau 0 Posted January 14, 2009 Beautiful image. I like the color of the snow and the light. Makes me shiver, I feel like if I am with the feet in the water ;-) Regards Jean-Marc Link to comment
celasun 0 Posted January 14, 2009 Fitting colors, nice DOF, perfect mood. I just wonder if the sky might have been more contributory... Link to comment
rarmstrong 0 Posted January 14, 2009 Thank you, Jean-Marc and Bulent! The sky was a very bland shade of light pink. Some interesting clouds would have been nice...but, they weren't there:-) Regards, Dick Link to comment
timzeipekis 5 Posted January 14, 2009 Another strong composition, I love that warm toned reflection in the creek! Link to comment
thadley 15 Posted January 14, 2009 Great color - sky is a little light but a minor consideration. Link to comment
rarmstrong 0 Posted January 15, 2009 Thank you very much, Tim and Tony! I think the sky is a bit light. But, I couldn't seem to get the sky where I thought it should be without distracting fom the rest of the image. Keep warm! Dick Link to comment
ryourth 0 Posted January 15, 2009 Visually pleasing image Dick,a beautiful shade of blue with the ocassional pure white to make the blue appear more natural.Believe if you scroll down to the top of the trees you will find the white sky much less distracting, believe what remains is just a shade darker.Cheers-Ross Link to comment
rarmstrong 0 Posted January 15, 2009 Thank you, Ross! The challenge here is the sky. I think that it is too bright. But, if I adjust the brightness of the sky, the foreground suffers. I'll have to play with this one some more. Well, it's frigid outside. So, working on photos seems like a good thing! Have a good night! Dick Link to comment
JimCowan 0 Posted January 16, 2009 There is something very special about the way you have captured the water and the snow, the blue tone is appropriate for the season and helps communicate the cold. Link to comment
