Twilight over Arches (Larger view available)

harrylichtman

Five vertical images were used ( with zoom) to create this expansive view of Arches National Park and the distant La Sal Mountains. While many cropping options are available, I decided on leaving the entire horizontal composition and cropping some of the sky which couldn't compete with the clouds directly above the mnts. The sky colors reflect the actual appearance, though it may look a bit contrived. The lighting was exceptional.

Five vertical images were used to make this pano after the sun had set.

Many cropping options were available, but I decided on the full

horizontal to show the expansive view. Another strong comp might have

been using the larger rocks on each end as bookends. A more intimate

view. Comments welcome.

Harry, wonderful panorama. The blues of the mountains contrast well with the red rock formations.6/6 anon...RAY

Harry,

A fine finished photograph indeed.

As you are the artist, don't excuse your composition or cropping in anyway. Its your choice.

I would like a little more blue in the hills, which could be done by less red.

Regards Peter
