rarmstrong 0 Posted January 10, 2009 I went out for a walk today, crisp air(16 degrees), clear blue sky, a gorgeous winter day! Please view this larger, thank you! Link to comment
lonebearimages 0 Posted January 10, 2009 Great winter shot! I am so glad that you had the intestinal fortitude to get out and take this rather than me; although I'd be hard pressed to find this anywhere close to me in southern California (it is 77 degrees F right now!). Wonderful composition and exposure. Now go inside have a brandy, my friend! Cheers! Chris Link to comment
rarmstrong 0 Posted January 11, 2009 Hey Chris, thanks! I couldn't stay out too long, but it was a really spectacular day. I'm sipping on a glass of Clos du Bois, Sonoma Reserve Chardonnay from Russian River Valley as I write this! Hey, it's a California wine! Anyway, thanks for the nice comment and enjoy your 77 degrees! All the best! Dick Link to comment

timzeipekis 5 Posted January 12, 2009 Absolutely LOVE this shot, the sidelighting works magic here and creates wonderful contrast and textures in this beautiful composition. Very well done! Link to comment
rarmstrong 0 Posted January 13, 2009 Thank you, Jean-Marc and Tim! There are 18 acres of woods across the road from my house. I was out shoveling snow and the sun was getting low on the horizon. I figured that there must be an image hiding in the woods! Lucky break! Light and timing, isn't that what it's all about? Best regards, Dick Link to comment
