Wow. This image led me to your portfolio which is pretty darned good. As for this image normally I am an advocate of simple compositions which lead the viewer's eye through the photograph. However, in this case, although there are a lot of elements to the image everything seems to be in the right place. It works. Keep it up, Peter.

Just so otherworldly beautiful, Simon. Very impressive especially is the contrast between crisp detail in the ice and rock against the soft hazes of cloud and water spray. The overall lighting is great

Thanks for the comments everyone.

Hi Ben. No HDR, just a straight exposure. I used an ND to slow the water but that's all.

Its not often i give 7/7 but IMHO this has to be one of them. It is simply fantastic, i wont get my eyes of it. splendid composition;light, colours, exposure, sharpness and a lovely landscape scenery - PUH, Breathtaking is the word. Thanx for sharing and best regards, LKV.

At first sight I though it was a HDR image, because of the typical tonal look... But I know you master photographic technique and work hard on the field to maximise your capture... Congratulations: stunning shot, as usual!

Regards, Alberto.

Simon, very beautiful image! I like the clouds coming in over the hill. The water color is also very nice. This looks pretty cold, though. I'd be looking forward to sitting by the fire with a snifter of single malt!

Best regards,

Dick

Fantastic.... at first glance a cold, seemingly lifeless landscape; but then the waterfall and the swirling eddy introduce motion. As we delve deeper along the leading ridges, we discover a bridge... and life. Thanks for sharing.... Mike
