alpenglow 0 Posted January 8, 2009 I really like the treatment/post processing Tiffany. And of course using a bulldozer to deliver the "message" is priceless ;-) Mike Link to comment
rascal64 9 Posted January 8, 2009 Thank you Mike. This is my first attempt at basic FDR. It was pretty cool...because the sun was super bright behind the bulldozer on the left so exposure was tricky. I used 3 images...hand held. The view on the other side of the fence is pretty spectacular....a long drop and the ocean at Big Sur. I am sure you know the beauty and spirituality of this place. Leave it to me to take a picture of a bulldozer in the middle of all that beauty (>8 Link to comment
alpenglow 0 Posted January 9, 2009 I knew you did some post processing on this photo, but I had no idea what was involved... (and I'm still fuzzy as too exactly what you did). But regardless, the result is wonderful. And the ability to see little gems like this that others are blind to is a true sign of an artist. So I'm not surprised at all that you found this composition among all of the other "distraction" :-) Mike Link to comment
doug_gentry 0 Posted January 9, 2009 Very....very well done! I enjoy seeing a photo that could represent a theme or study of it's meaning! Nice work Tiffany! Regards, Doug. Link to comment
dandem 1 Posted January 9, 2009 WOW...Tiff...your first HDR...and hand-held!!!!!!!!! AWESOME work. The shot itself is awesome, especially with the message in the bucket, not to mention the processing. So happy to see you are experimenting with the technique. Good for you. So well seen and executed, my friend. Regards, as always, Lawrence. Link to comment
susanb1 0 Posted January 9, 2009 This would make a cool billboard! Very nice image. Congratulations. Link to comment
rascal64 9 Posted January 9, 2009 Doug Lawrence and Sista Sue...Thank you for the feedback! Note to self...lining up 3 handhelds is a drag....please carry tripod. Mike...if you are interested...there is a free download called FDRTools basic 2.2. It just does the basic blending. The post treatment is up to you. Link to comment

rascal64 9 Posted January 12, 2009 Thank you for your comments Janis and Juan...quite a compliment from observant photographers such as yourselves. We're still in the burbs Juan...so no flooding here. Thank you! Link to comment
jkilgo 0 Posted January 12, 2009 Tiffany, I think this turned out nice...the processing makes this very cool...I really like how the sun falls on the side of the tractor. I can imagine how tough this was to capture effectively....wonderful message, this is my favorite part. Jeff. Link to comment
