the jelly bean houses are one of my favourite spots in Canada. Good photo, but I think a tall one would have suited me better. Thanks for your comment on my photo, it is great advise.

Hi Larry-Soon as I saw this colourful image I knew it was from Newfoundland. & it reminded me of a story in the papers a few years back. There is this small community largely financed by the government with lots of rules & regulations which annoyed the local population.The homes were all painted the same dull brown colour A group studied the regulations & discovered it said nothing about house colours so of course what they did was to paint their home all different vibrant colours.These people of the east coast are very independent minded,& this was their way of thumbing their noses at the local government . Thanks for your concern, I am fine.for a while I contemplated leaving Photo.Net but then I realized none of my friends had the slightest interest in photography & I have a small group of members,of course including yourself who I follow closely & enjoy commenting on their images & receiving comments on my work.so I decided I had better stay where i am .
