Yellow Tullips

I had a similar shot but this one has subtle lighting differences. I

appreciate any comments to improve upon this. I am new to studio

lighting and one of my first subjects.

Beautiful colors and shades of grey. Great depth of field too..

Good still life, color well done. Dull area on vase is distracting, IMO.

thanks for the comments. I can probably PS alter the dark area on the vase. I have mixed feelings about changing it because it adds some uniqueness to the vase but when i get some time can play with it. thanks i do appreciates the suggestions

I have bit mixed feelings with this one. I like the bright colors that opposite the vase. It makes them stand out from the photo. There are these very small things that I think might need fine tuning. The image could benefit from being totally sharp. I think the flowers should be all in focus. Also there's this fine tuning with the lighting on the background. Maybe you could arrange the lights and shadows little bit more controlled way.

 

Over all, I like the idea and composition. It really makes a keeper shot, with all those colors playing together.

Hi - great lighting IMHO, however my impressions are that the tulips are a bit waxy looking.

Also, the vase off the bottom WAS deliberate, right? Not sure that if works for me as it's more unnatural in a "natural" still life.

Thanks for all the comments. I will definitely look more carefully and see if I have any other shots that would address some of the concerns. The flowers themselves looked a bit waxy and i think the lens was resolving that too well
