Was playing with my new lens, Taken in living room in ambient light. Large 30ft glass window on her both sides. Soft indirect light, RAW adjusted in CS3 and final resizing in Picasa-3.

Wonderful image - love the light and those eyes. The pink is very feminine which adds to the appeal of the photo. A very minor distraction is the variation of the hair color (blue on the left and cyan on the right) - at least that is the way I see it on my monitor. Now remember that this is a beautiful image and what I mentioned is minor and could actually add to the appeal depending on your tastes. best regards and hope you found the comment useful since that was my intent.

Just looked at the only other rating and can't really understand why the rater would give this a 3 for originality but that is their choice.

Very nice portrait, with the pink veil making it more mysterious. As Tony said there is a slight colour variation but without him bringing it to my attention I would never have noticed it. The eyes make it a very good portrait...well done. What do you think of the lens so far?...Regards

Kieth this lens is not heavy and is sharp but in macro close up VR is useless.

If this a test,it is a very good one,since it was a portrait,I would like to see the whole weight of focus going to the eyes not to the hair,anyway an excellent outcome of a test.

She's stunning, Ifti, and so is the portrait. Lovely flow by the veil through the shot.

I do wonder whether it wouldn't be even more striking when you crop the top until you have gotten rid of the background (somewhere halfway her hair). Also crop from the leftside until you are close to her hair.

 

You will end up with an image that has her eyes/face & pink only. without too much black of her hair.

 

Anyway really nice.
