rarmstrong 0 Posted January 4, 2009 Thank you very much, El! My daughter and I were driving ahead of this storm which ended up packing 60 mph winds and driving rain. I got a few shots before we had to take cover. Warm regards, Dick Link to comment
ifti 0 Posted January 5, 2009 This is a perfect composition and colors and darkness set the tone for incoming storm. Very well done Link to comment

ryourth 0 Posted January 7, 2009 Very well composed Dick.,the huge dark sky is very imposing.Feel like climbing the hill to see what is happening beyond the trees .Nice. Best Regards-Ross Link to comment
rarmstrong 0 Posted January 7, 2009 Thanks, Ross! This was a dramatic storm and had us running for cover a few minutes after I took this shot. The cold weather has kept me inside most days. It was -10 F yesterday, but we look like were having a heat wave today...it's 21 this morning. Have a good day! Dick Link to comment
pnital 36 Posted January 7, 2009 Richard, it has to be seen large. I like what looks a good point of camera, that creates the feeling of you staying lower, giving the "stage" to the trees on the slopping hill . The light in the horizon has nearly disappeared, because of the ominous sky. The whole scene and color palette is subdued, and very well presents the coming storm and the lonely place ( beach) . rarmstrong 0 Posted January 7, 2009 Pnina, so nice to hear from you and thank you for the comments on this image. I was on my way home ahead of this storm on the shore of lake Superior. The sky over the lake was incredible, but as I was standing on the beach and turned around toward the road, this was what I saw...then the sky opened up and we had to run for cover. I was happy to get a few shots off before we were drenched. Best regards, Dick Link to comment
