Taken last November in Paso Robles. The Pacific is 15 or 20 miles from here, often

resulting in a mid level fog that saturates these vineyards, making for optimum

conditions. Thanks for your time. A Larger view is available!

Ahhhh, it's easy to see why they call you the "Golden State". Love the composition and beautiful light... Mike

I've looked at this for some time and finally played around with it as I'm sure you did yourself. I like everything about your photo, because it's really a good one. Still, I have to say I'm rather doubtfull about that colour. So, after some desaturation I find that those wonderfull rays of light are emphasised even more and in fact make, at least in my opinion, for a more natural colour.

Thank you Mike, Ray, Gunnar and of course Ton. You know, I agree Ton in as much as the color could be suspect. On an artistic level, we may differ, but that is totally cool. If you take a look at and compare our portfolios, yours is predominately b&w and mine is predominately color. The artistic preference for tones of gray may also choose to subdue color as well. The artistic preference for vivid color may also choose to push the envelope on color. The RAW version of this is certainly closer to neutral than after my treatment. Perhaps I felt some need to strengthen the color to give it more impact. You have validated the image with your comment. The image perhaps did not need a boost of color to be successful. In retrospect, I think reducing the red but keeping the yellow might make a nice compromise. 10 photographers probably would have done 10 different things with this and none would be wrong. Isn't art great?

Thank you Bela and Cezary. I have included an attachment with an adjustment based upon Ton's comment. I basically reduced the overall saturation with a sizable correction for red and magenta. Thanks Ton for the recommendation. It looks good!

Thanks, I like it as well. Still, we are only talking taste now so I wouldn't want to withold what I came up with when I played around with it. It's a bit more down to "earth" (i.e. earth colours).
