Nature's Sun Dial

This tilting sandstone pinnacle reminded me of a sun dial. I was looking for an image that would include the intricate patterns of the cryptobiotic soils and the area's stonework. This cactus and the wonderful afternoon light/low November sun aided to bring out the textures in the FG elements.
