vancouverphotographer 1 Posted January 3, 2009 Nice ... this is a nuthatch right? I could never get close enough or shoot fast enough to get as good a shot as this one. Link to comment
tidris 0 Posted January 3, 2009 Now I am being educated. I dont know a Nuthatch from a thatched hut, but I'll take your word for it :) Wait I have just done some research and this variety is known as the Eurasian Nuthatch - You were spot on there Dale. I went along to the local Singleton park armed with my camera, 75-300 zoom and a sturdy tripod. And, oh yes, I also took some wild bird feed which came in really handy. I set up and sat in a very desolate corner of the park - not moving an inch and that's when they started to arrive. I will be posting a few more of these pics in the next couple of days. I am so pleased you like it. Regards. Taha Link to comment
vancouverphotographer 1 Posted January 4, 2009 Cool thanks ... my 70-200mm is way too short for birding especially with the smaller species. The one place where I did see the nuthatch (not sure which species I saw) is a bit too dark too so that does not help my cause either. Link to comment
