Hey Ian, you do seem to get out a lot! How about a crop where the tallest deer's feet would be? For me, I think, eliminating a lot of the brush might work better. Blessings.

I tried cropping out some of the foreground but the saplings don’t look right. I was trying to give a feeling of depth to the photo, Thanks for the comments and happy new year .

Mission accomplished...on the depth...Normally I would agree with cropping out so much foreground...but in this image I think it works...The colors are also good as well as the detail in the deer... Nice Job Ken

I like that you didn't crop it. I can picture this enlarged, and hanging in someones house. Congrats.
