jerrymat 4 Posted December 28, 2008 Oh! A managed forest with the trees planted in rows! Is this in Europe? I know that the Black Forest of Germany has had all sorts of ecological problems because of this kind of management. I wonder what the story is here. Sorry! My biologist self got in the way of my photographer self. It is a wonderful record of a crisp snowy day in the woods. It feels more like morning than afternoon, but I am hard put to know just why I feel that way. I am going to look at your portfolio to see if there are more pictures of the area. Thank you for sharing. Link to comment
John Crowe 165 Posted December 28, 2008 It is a managed forest in Ontario, Canada. It is actually called the Durham Regional Forest and there are many separate sections of forest in our region. I have found the rows of trees to bring some interesting compoitions over the years in all seasons. This is a morning shot, at -20 degrees C. This small portion of the forest has these wider than usual distinct paths cleared out. As you can see it intersects another "hallway" at the end. Link to comment
