Light at Howth Pier on Stephens Night

The warning light for ships entering Howth harbour, taken on St

Stephens night. The original colour version was pretty flat and

featureless so I conVerted to Black and white and then added a custom

gradient to it. Let me know what you think.

I like the picture to begin with and also your treatment color. The only thing I'm not sold on yet is the 2 white stripes coming from the sky, unless you have them come down from the bottom of the clouds instead of the top of the frame (overlaying the top most foreground clouds) it does not look natural.

Thanks fr the comments Alex. I looked at these long and hard before I decided to leave them in as I felt that it gave the impression of moonlight breaking through gaps in the clouds.

I get the effect idea and again it is pretty good indeed. This is what I meant I only did it on one of the 2 rays to see if it makes sence to you.
