Funtak 0 Posted December 24, 2008 You have done for introducing us Israeli culture more than your official ambasadors, I have learned from your images a lot (almost) last year, for both I am gratefull.. Link to comment
bosshogg 4 Posted December 24, 2008 Kind of reminds me of my Starbuck's image. The unaware captured by our roving cameras. I could not help but think that the painting in the window lower rught was you. Great gentle eyes, serious, and taking it all in. Well, who knows? Link to comment

LenMarriott 9 Posted December 25, 2008 And your point of focus is where? Where else! On the DANCE poster in the background. Go figure! Planned or subconscious distraction? Whatever, it seems to be your signature. Best to you this Christmas Day from Len Marriott. Link to comment
pnital 36 Posted December 26, 2008 Len , maybe, but I don't see it that way ...;-)) Bob, thanks Link to comment
gordonjb 10,860 Posted December 26, 2008 A true cornucopia of secondary images and subplots giving a good representation of the visual smorgasbord offered up to tourists visiting the big apple. Groovy gifts indeed ! Th way in which the rectangular shapes remain similar, while the scale continues to increase, is further accentuated by the large rectangles the bars and uprights in the window divide the scene into. I am left with the impression that this increasing scale carries on to incorporate the building, the street, the block, the neighborhood and beyond, in a kind of endless up-scaling of the smallest original bits of geometry on the shelves and in the card racks. The liberty statue and the the words New York in the bottom are a nice touch. Link to comment
carsten_ranke 0 Posted December 27, 2008 A multi-layered photo, especially with 2009 coming soon. Complex and stimulating, holds my interest for a while. In a diagonal the man between ballerina and sceptic young woman, what does he see ? Superb composition. I wish you and yours a happy and successful New Year ! Carsten Link to comment
alberto_quintal 1 Posted December 27, 2008 I like it original work. Happy new year. Alberto Link to comment
Donna Stavis 0 Posted December 27, 2008 Clever composition of multiple frames and the faces of three ladies. Typical scene in a big city, filled with what takes up a leisurely Sunday. Quite groovy, Pnina :) Link to comment
pnital 36 Posted December 28, 2008 Gord, Thanks for your wide impression. The richness of items and forms in that store were overwhelming and a challenge to compose. My hat to you for observing the NY on the lower L side....;-)) Carsten, thanks for your nice interpretation, holding your attention is a compliment...;-)) and seeing the diagonal is well observed as well. Alberto, thanks and happy new coming year Donna, this is NY in a microcosmos....;-)) Thanks as well for seeing the complicated composition. The situation here is depressing. Link to comment
Jack McRitchie 150 Posted December 29, 2008 Wonderful shot, Pnina. I haven't been active much lately but I'll have some time over the New Years holidays. As for "the happy consumer", I'm afraid he/she will soon become an endangered species. Link to comment

tmcleland 0 Posted December 29, 2008 Certainly an interesting point of view. Very well captured street shot. Of course, what we don't see is the shop owner nervously looking on "is he going to buy something?" Well done! Link to comment
bradkim 8 Posted December 29, 2008 Many squares and rectangles in the frame make this photo very interesting! Wish you a Very Healthy and Productive New Year, Pnina! Link to comment
