Kind of nutty, but I saw a son of the Confederacy. Perhaps a thoughtful and gentle distant great great grandson of Robert E Lee. Strange how an image will impress someone.

And, while I'm here, let me say thanks for all the thoughtful comments you've given me over the last year, and for stimulating me to think longer and harder, and for being such a well grounded and gentle soul. I've enjoyed the encounters. Have a really great holiday season, and many more fine images in the years to come. Peace

Actually he's of Norwegian stock and migrated down south from his home in northern Minnesota. But I can see how you could find a resemblance to the General.

I would send your personal comment right back at you. I am indeed very fortunate to have you as a friend. You are a very positive influence in my life, both photographically and personally. I am enriched, and very grateful.

Isn't that strange, before I read David's comment I too thought of a civil war general. Perhaps the eyes are a little mad (but then he's a psychologist).

t’s a good one - intimate AND funny - and the comments cracked me up! Somehow I feel if I didn’t know the man’s profession I would SEE the picture differently.

I would think I may make it a vertical presentation so as to include the doctor’s elbow. And if he ever publishes, he should think about using this shot as the ‘about the author’ pic in the back cover - it's a very interesting portrait.
