"Inevitable Changing"

Taken on December 18th, the Cottonwoods display fall foliage long beyond the normal

seasonal change. Thanks for any comments or suggestions and I hope you will view

Very nicely done! Is that the empty Isabella in the background, and are you basically facing southwest near the inflow into the lake? Beautiful light and color palette. Cheers! Chris

Chris, this is about a mile from the golf course heading into Kernville (just past Wofford Heights?), pretty much as you described. If you look closely to the right just behind the tree, you can see part of the lake. I would describe the lake as fairly high with water. We have had a good amount of precip here lately. I would dearly love to get back here for a sunrise soon, but I suspect the holiday will hold precedent this week and those Cottonwoods can't hold on much longer. Looking forward to getting together this spring. Merry Christmas!!

A relatively simple scene with so many gorgeous elements... Beautiful golden tree, fantastic side light on the mid-ground trees and shrubs, peaceful river, and snow coverd mountains.... not to forget the excellent detail. Love it... Mike

 

 

You do have a nack a making a simplistic scene into a gran landscape. Color palette and composition are impeccable.

This has been beautifully sharpened, the detail is pin sharp yet perfectly natural. I would love to know the secret!
