dangoldman 0 Posted February 1, 2009 Certainly not the photo i was hoping to get, atleast with this amount of motion blur. Was looking down changing a setting (probably brought the ISO down...dont remember anymore) and at the exact moment i brought the camera up to my eye he took off. So, a bit of underexposure and lots of blur, the talons and meal seemed to have stayed reasonably sharp though, considering. Link to comment
matman1975 0 Posted February 1, 2009 Hi Dan...this is a good motion blur technique, although you are right... the head area should have been just a little bit sharper. Only by experience on every single species you can guess which is the right shutter speed in order to achieve perfectly this effect. I use bracketing mode in order to maximize my chances for a good result. nice work though, regards, Teo Link to comment
gbgrubb 0 Posted February 26, 2009 Hello Dan. Personally, I like this image. Yes, the head is not sharp. But a critical element in the image IS sharp. Therefor it works nicely. Good work on a tough subject to capture...birds in flight. Link to comment
