timzeipekis 5 Posted December 21, 2008 I keep switching back and forth between the two, they are both strong in their own ways. This one, the tree really adds a sense of depth to the image and the shadow of the tree extends that rhythmic motion started in the railing. The other works well as more of a two-dimensional abstract by utilizing the same strong features. I think both are great! Link to comment
rarmstrong 0 Posted December 21, 2008 Thanks, Tim! This is the old Luce County Courthouse and Jail across the street from my office. It's a museum now. It's an interesting building. For this shot the snow was unspoiled and the light was nice. Best wishes for the holidays! Dick Link to comment

blue-olympus 0 Posted December 23, 2008 Good shot of an interesting building. The strong sidelight brings out the marvellous detail in the stonework....I wish you a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year...Kind regards from England...Keith Link to comment
Not Here 93 Posted December 23, 2008 Well, you didn't ask for a comparison, but I like this one best of the two jail photos. The tree, while bound to the soil is still living free while the bars on the windows gives the inmates a view of freedom that they cannot have. Beautiful detail and the snow exposure is perfect....
