skersell33 0 Posted December 20, 2008 Did you soften this image in the digital darkroom? Such a nice crop, expression and tones. I think a bit more sharpness on the eyes would have been more effective, but beautiful none-the-less. Link to comment
giladmichael 0 Posted December 20, 2008 really like the softness. but i'd prefer the eyes (and eyes only) to be as sharp as possible Link to comment
Pierre Dumas 258 Posted December 20, 2008 It shows all virtues of the childhood! Innocence, curiosity, tenderness, good mood...great! PDE Link to comment
timzeipekis 5 Posted December 21, 2008 Sherry - This was softened in post processing, I did selectively sharpen the eyes, but could only go so far due to noise in the original image. It really seems to come back if I sharpen too much. Any advice to avoid that would be appreciated. Gilad - I agree about the eyes and wish I could get them sharper. This shot was taken in a classroom Christmas party, I was limited by the available light and the constant and fast movement by these pre-kindergartners. To compensate, I used a higher ISO which produced more noise than I would have liked. As mentioned above, this was about as sharp as I could get without revealing that noise. Pierre - Thanks so much, this little girl is such an angel and I wanted to portray her that way. Link to comment
timzeipekis 5 Posted December 21, 2008 I saw your comment on the previous post of this photograph and I thank you, I wanted to rework something on it, so I deleted the previous version. Unfortunately you beat me to it. Link to comment
