A careful blend of two exposures to hold detail in the brightest areas. I think it is

amazing that we still have Cottonwoods turning this late in the year. I hope you will

enjoy the Larger version.

Beautiful photograph. My only nit is that you have a bit of a greenish cast in your sky, just a skosh, but it is there. Good work! Cheers! Chris

Looks like you made it to the foothills. Just got a load of snow here in Vegas. Made for some good shooting. This is a wonderful scenic shot very well composed and presented.6/6 anon...RAY

Thanks Chris and Ray. Chris, I don't see it, probably need to calibrate my monitor. I see the cyan creeping into the shadowed snow, I tend to leave that as it is a normal thing. Perhaps you are referring to the clouds? Thanks again!

Hey Mark... The only thing green is me 'cause I don't have this view... A really gorgeous scene here and the yellow trees hanging on into Winter really set it off.

Beautiful and dramatic winter landscapes are coming in but this one will linger on. I admire the stream as it leads you to the mountain slopes of different color and texture. Happy Holidays, Mark!

Thank you Sonali, Mike, Lester and Mike for the observations. Sonali, I don't know how I missed you the first time through with my acknowledgements. Mike Mancil, this is about 1 1/2 hours from my doorstep. It is more like high desert any other time of year, but looks like the Alps when snow covered (well maybe looks more like the High Sierra). The light was beginning to be too intense, but making two extreme exposures and combining them evened the scene's tonal range.
