MichaelChang 12 Posted December 19, 2008 Wonderful, Len, and we all know you went there as a prodigy at 5 years old... :-) Season's greetings from Montreal! Link to comment
LenMarriott 9 Posted December 20, 2008 Back at ya with the Christmas greeting. Getting any snow? Nice try, knocking 18 years off my age but it won't work. I'd have to pay back too much gov't pension money. I've only posted this one to round out my 'Leica School' folder. Found it on the bottom of an old shipping container that I used to ship all my worldly treasures back to Canada from Germany in 1964. Looks like it was attacked by moisture or fungus (or, more likely, pizza stained fingers). Valued mostly as a personal document, but now that Leica is no longer located in Wetzlar it could have a more global appeal. I'd love to hear from others with similar docs. Best, LM. Link to comment
MichaelChang 12 Posted December 20, 2008 Len, it's a uniquely wonderful document worthy of framing. The type face looks like what might come out of my Dad's Underwood typewriter. :-) Why not post this in one of the forums? There has to be a few Leica School alumnus among us. We're expecting the same storm as you on Sunday. Should be fun! Link to comment
LenMarriott 9 Posted December 20, 2008 Thanks for the suggestion. Done! Leica Forum. The responses (if any) could be interesting. Best, LM. Link to comment

pnital 36 Posted December 24, 2008 Nice documentation, Happy holidays to you and yours, and creative work in the coming year. Link to comment
LenMarriott 9 Posted December 24, 2008 This was added to my 'Leica School' folder simply to help complete it. And, with a 'Hail Mary' stretch, hopefully capture the attention of anyone who may have been on that particular course. (or at least one from that era) Best to you as well, LM. Link to comment
LenMarriott 9 Posted December 28, 2008 Not even interested in any critique. Would just be happy to communicate with others who have been fortunate enough to have been through this course, and of course, would be THRILLED to communicate with anyone from this SPECIFIC one. Best, LM. Link to comment
raddatzphoto 0 Posted January 7, 2009 Are those red wine and lipstick stains there Len? Wonderful history from a golden photography era. Very very Cool. Link to comment
LenMarriott 9 Posted January 7, 2009 Perhaps you assume too high a level of sophistication. Probably more like pizza & beer stains. :-) Best, LM. Link to comment
LenMarriott 9 Posted November 12, 2009 Thank you. Though I believe no one ever 'failed' this course, the certificate was a nice touch & memento. Best, LM. Link to comment

LenMarriott 9 Posted August 29, 2010 Yes, I was just a young puppy then. :-) Thanks for taking the time & effort to dig this one out for comment. Much appreciated. Best, LM. Link to comment
richard_john_edwards 0 Posted July 5, 2012 Len, I was drawn to this series as this was my birth year, Great to see a collection of images from that time. Great work. Regards Richard Link to comment
LenMarriott 9 Posted July 6, 2012 Nice to see that you took the time & dug deep into the past to come up with this gem. All of the shots in the 'Leica School' folder were taken in Nov. 1963. Two weeks later JFK was murdered and the year before we experienced the Cuban Crisis. Exciting times to say the least. But that was then. We have enough of our own crises to deal with today. Hopefully we'll someday look back on them to find they too no longer haunt us. Best, LM. Link to comment
