Rock Spiral and Light Paint

chris_conrad

This was exposed as a digital capture--30 seconds @ ISO 1600. I built the rock spiral, then "painted" with a flashlight when it was dark. Printed as a negative onto Pictorico OHP Transparency @ 4x5", then printed as a silver print ~ 7 x 8".

Exposed originally as a digital capture, then printed in the darkroom. I

built the small rock spiral in a pool of water, then used a flashlight to

paint on it in the dark. I printed the image as a Negative on clear

transparency film @ 4x5". Then printed in the darkroom @ 7 x 8".

Your feedback is appreciated.

This is really neat Chris! But I am afraid that most will not appreciate the work that you went through to achieve this. The light painting effect works very well; it looks more like the reflection of bright sunlight, but it would not be in an arc as it is here. Cool composition. I am impressed by the quality of the scanned print and the range of tones that you have managed to produce. Nice job. Regards.
