gordonjb 10,860 Posted December 17, 2008 Pnina; The most intriguing result of this photo is the way in which the veil and the women have blended to become one. I am left with the impression that the dancer is made of smoke, as if her essence is becoming free to be blown upon the breeze. Link to comment
adan1 0 Posted December 17, 2008 Expressive, dramatic and fantastically composed. Fantastic composition Pnina. Link to comment
michaellinder 16,611 Posted December 18, 2008 Amazing work . . . The veil accentuates the subject's beautiful face and features perfectly. You also created an interesting effect in that it's tough to distinguish the veil from the subject's hair. My compliments, as always, on your artistry and talent . . . michael PS Please do not think that you hurt my feelings by not connecting with the abstract. Honest feedback is just that - honest. I would expect nothing else from you. I do need to share a bit about that shot. I've not read the Zohar, and I'm ashamed to admit I've probably forgotten more about my faith than I learned when I was much younger. However, I consider myself a mystic in somewhat of a universalist sense. This shot was intended as a manifestation of creation, as we all are manifestations of creation. BTW, I plan on working on some shots that are a bit more identifiable as expressions of my Judaism. Stay tuned . . . Link to comment
jim kerr 0 Posted December 18, 2008 Hello Pnina, This suggest to me a dreamy style perhaps something from back in the 1920's........And it is very good......Jim Link to comment

Gord, reading your impression feels like my desire to express the spirit of the dance , working with dance for a long time, I search constantly for arriving deeper in expressing the spirit of what the dance language want to express. The deep meaning of connecting the soul of life expressed by a movement , narrative, and mien. Thanks for letting me know that my search touched you. Jack McRitchie 150 Posted December 18, 2008 I'm not sure if she is an angel in the throes of ecstacy or a woman drawing her last breath. Perhaps one leads to the other. Link to comment
