... I think the colors of the stone add a great deal to the power of the image, the intense red of the granite. As in the BW version, would prefer to see some detail in the dark upper shadow area. It is a shame that the color was washed away when the British built the lower Aswan dam, submerging the temple for most of the year. The only salvation was to move the temple some distance away.
