Leonard-just-Leonard 8 Posted December 16, 2008 almost looks like a steam bath, but it really is about 25 to 30 below zero Link to comment
peter moonlight 0 Posted December 16, 2008 I think there is too much going on in this image, a tighter crop would get rid of this problem. Link to comment
Leonard-just-Leonard 8 Posted December 19, 2008 I submitted this same shot to National Geographic's Daily dozen and it was picked Dec 19th, 2008. Seems they liked it cropped the way I did. Thanks for the input and another point of view. Lately what I have been doing is nothing. In PhotoShop that is, other than cropping the image to fit the generic 12x18 and down sizes. Especially the dark, cloudy, foggy images... Autocorrect just messes them up. Adjusting the curves a bit is about all they usually need. Your crop is a good version of the original and adds a nice feel to the scene. Link to comment
peter moonlight 0 Posted December 20, 2008 The 19th of December must have been a poor day for photos. Only joking! Sorry if my original comment seemed abrupt, I feel I have to qualify it by saying that I do like the image and was just trying to give you some constructive criticism of the type that is often missing from this site. I have added a cropped version of your image which I feel works better, but of course this is just a personal preference. Link to comment
