John Crowe 165 Posted December 16, 2008 I wanted to recreate a scene from a few years ago on digital, but I got lost and missed the sunrise by about 20 minutes. I will have to try again! Let me know what you think. Link to comment
yannik_hay 1 Posted December 16, 2008 This is a very nice modern bridge and we get the feel of being on. But I feel a bit of a vertigo with the unleveled horizon :) Besides that, a sunrise would have been beautiful with all the colours. Very well done. Let me know when you have one with the sunrise. Have a great day and many thx for your great review. I will try your suggestions. Cheers. Link to comment
tgood 0 Posted December 16, 2008 I remember looking at your sunrise version before. I am amazed at how that other photo really fools the viewer into thinking this is an enourmous bridge. Looking at it in full light, it's really a rather small bridge, isn't it? I think it's the roadway that gives it away. Beautiful bridge against a beautiful blue sky though. Link to comment
John Crowe 165 Posted December 16, 2008 You are quite right. It is a walking bridge, not likely even 30 feet wide. The superwide angle lenses do their job of making it look huge. Yes I'll have to be sure to be there much earlier next time. I got a very nicely exposed 4x5 shot on Velvia 50 as well, taken with a 65mm super angulon. I will be posting a few more images of this bridge over the next few days. Thanks for the comments. Link to comment
manuel barrera houston, 0 Posted December 17, 2008 The pov makes this image, as to the horizon use the distort filter to level. I imagine that is why the horizon was left as such. regards Link to comment
John Crowe 165 Posted December 18, 2008 I have replaced this image twice to no avail. Please click on it to enlarge it to see the corrections I have made to the slanted horizon. It was off more than I thought. Thank-you for the advice! I will continue to see what I can do to make photo.net recognize the replacement image. Link to comment
John Crowe 165 Posted December 19, 2008 I see the replacement image is now fully in place. Link to comment
