rbanfield 0 Posted December 15, 2008 Tim. Great shot of Erie. Where did you grab this shot? Did a bunch of sunsets of the Lake outside of Ashtabula last year. 6/6 anon Link to comment
john_behrends 0 Posted December 15, 2008 Beautifulshot, well composed, love the brooding effect of the sky and water colors. Cheers, John Link to comment
timzeipekis 5 Posted December 15, 2008 Thanks, I appreciate it! Raymond - this was taken from Monroe, Mi early morning. Couldn't get a sunrise due to thick cloud cover so I took what I could get. Link to comment
Not Here 93 Posted December 15, 2008 Wow, excellent presence and mood... the desolation offset by the dim lights in the distance. Good shot... Mike Link to comment
dacamera 0 Posted December 15, 2008 The limited palette and that amazing sky give this image a weird almost threatening mood. A very satisfying composition, the lights add to the atmosphere and drama. Simon Link to comment
pedroolivo 0 Posted December 16, 2008 Another great composition Tim. Love the atmosphere of the scene, 6/6. Regards. Pedro. Link to comment
Guest Guest Posted December 16, 2008 Nice perspective and I like the cool blue approach. Nicely composed kind of forming a triangle and almost a vortex as we go deep. Nice texture in the log as well. Link to comment
dandem 1 Posted December 17, 2008 Exceptional mood and detail, Tim. Fantastic DOF. Well done. Regards, Lawrence. Link to comment
johnroberts 0 Posted December 17, 2008 Very different from the the other shot from this location. You have created a fantastic mood and atmosphere with the overall blue tones. Love the composition. Regards John Link to comment
peternientied 0 Posted December 17, 2008 While looking at the picture (really nice colours and composition) I saw the two 'eyes' in the log, and even an owl's face! Now it's difficult not to see that any more. Well done. regards Link to comment
timzeipekis 5 Posted December 17, 2008 Thanks so much to all of you, I wish each and every one of you a happy holiday season! Link to comment
lonebearimages 0 Posted December 17, 2008 This has tons of 'Wow' factor. Terrific composition and the exposure really emphasizes the cold wintery feel of the lakeshore. The blurred clouds racing by in the sky and the glow of the lights off in the distance give this a real "Tim Burton movie" feel too. Nicely seen, captured, and processed. I wish You and Yours a Very Happy Holiday Season! Cheers! Chris Link to comment
timzeipekis 5 Posted December 18, 2008 Funny you mention Burton, I love the look of his movies......maybe sub-consciously it's creeping into my photography. Anyway, I've been waiting patiently........when are we going to see some new stuff from you? Link to comment
ingermargrete 0 Posted December 28, 2008 Great shot! Very nice composition, colors and light. Very dramatic feeling to it. Link to comment
ryourth 0 Posted March 26, 2009 Keep returning to this image, am strongly attracted to it, but for the life of me I can't figure out why.. technically, it's a beautiful image with great blue tones & the log adds a sense of desolation to the scene. This is the first time I noticed what appears to be two eyes & a nose on the log, maybe have been sub consciously seeing them but it did not register.Oh well, will continue to return & perhaps one day it will come to me why I'm so strongly attracted Cheers -Ross Link to comment
