Sonali: thanks for your comment and rating - it is a branch encased in ice and as I look outside this morning that condition still exists.

Jeffrey - thanks for the comment. Best regards.

:-).... I still say it's a wonderful eye that can see the beauty in such a common subject... excellent capture! Mike

Mike - thanks for the nice comment and it is you from whom I got the idea of using "ET" in the title.

What a exceptional photo with such interest. The formation of the ice is extremely interesting. The red berry adds such an extra interest. The background is perfect. This is wonderful!

Thanks to everyone who commented and rated. I did not reply individually but I have been paying a visit to your images and leaving a 'mark' . I thought I caught something original especially with the berry. There was lots of them on trees around this location but I already have ice encrusted berries in my portfolio. Best regards,

A couple of days ago I was about to comment this shot but I got a call and had to leave in a hurry. But I kep the shot in mind... This is really good. As a matter of fact, I heard "they are out there..."

The image is quite original and, on top of it, technically very good. Very nice tones and no washed out whites. The bokeh is fantastic. If you didn't help it with some software, seems to be much better than what I get from my 70-300 VR II . Best regards.
