chris_rowe1 0 Posted December 21, 2008 Hey Richard, Just noticed this shot in your portfolio, i like it a lot, I see a lot of images similar to this in your portfolio with this dark/eerie/mysterious mood about them. I'm wondering how you achieve this look to the photo's? I think you give this look to it in your post processing. In this shot you have this misty/noisy effect separating the foreground and the tree/background. Very nice shot by the way, I love these type of eerie shots. Good job. :-) Chris. Link to comment
ricardovaste 0 Posted December 21, 2008 Thanks for the feedback Chris. Glad you liked the shot. Maybe I have seasonal affective disorder or something ;-)? No, you're right, I like creating mysterious/melancholic atmosphere's in some of my photos... It just so happens that at the moment we are having a few spells of cold/foggy days, which naturally lend themself to this sort of atmosphere, as the above photo demonstrates quite well I think. I do like to post-process images, but only in the direction they were already going... by that I mean this scene, for example, was already quite "eerie" with the blades of ice falling down the plant & the heavy fog beary revealing the lone tree in the distance. With the current weather, I won't be posting any cheerful photo's for a while I don't think ;-). Thanks again, Rich Link to comment
